Academician Ivan Gyuzelev High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is firmly established as a school of high standing among the schools in the region of Gabrovo. After having successfully passed the entrance exams students are educated in the following fields: mathematics with English or German, computer sciences and natural sciences with English. Students can choose a second foreign language among English, German, French, Spanish and Russian. Chinese language and culture have been taught since 2015. The high school is supported by the Confucius Institute in Sofia that provides a teacher seconded by China.
Over the years the High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics has been actively involved in several projects and national programmes thus sustainably developing students’ cognitive interests, skills and competences, as well as introducing and intensively implementing new methodologies. The school has a system for discovering and encouraging gifted students and stimulating their creativity.
